As a chartered building surveying practice we provide a range of services required by the residential and commercial property markets.  Specialising in surveys, valuations and energy performance certificates for existing buildings in the West Wales region.  We are qualified and licensed to issue RICS Building Surveys, RICS Homebuyers Reports, RICS Condition Reports, RICS Red Book Market Valuation Reports and accredited to issue domestic and commercial Energy Performance Certificates on existing buildings with Elmhurst Energy Ltd.

The company was formed in October 2009 by Nigel Stone (Director). Initially a one man band carrying mortgage valuations, surveys and energy performance certificates in the West Wales Region. Prior to setting up the company Nigel Stone worked for local Estate Agents and Chartered Surveying practices undertaking similar work. Relationships and contacts built up during this time are still very important today as many referrals come from local firms of estate agents and solicitors. Nigel Stone has also worked for large corporate surveying firms where valuable experience was gained in the field of valuations for secured lending. This included working in London and Reading.

The company has grown steadily through some difficult times caused by austerity.  The priority of the company is to offer independent impartial advise based on local knowledge.

In January 2016 Dan Price joined the company as a trainee Energy Assessor and within a year qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor and in March 2019 qualified as a Non domestic Energy Assessor (Level 3).  

Due to continued growth and to meet the increased workload the decision was made to appoint another Surveyor. In September 2018 Alix Heritage joined the company and now undertakes secured valuation lending work and RICS Homebuyers.

The company is growing from strength to strength and is able to offer an efficient professional service but still based on the core principles of Independent, impartial advice based on local knowledge. The client base has grown and includes private individuals and companies, corporate companies, local authorities and religious organisations.

Area Covered

We cover the entire west Wales area, including the counties of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
